Somewhere in the world,
lies a hole on the side of a hill.
Always mysterious and unknown, its always been calling.
Passing the entrance, all phone service vanishes, the air gets chilly, and the outside feels distant.
On your own, even the light only extends so far. And beyond it, lies an infinite darkness.
As the ceiling gets lower and lower, ducking, and then crouching sometimes becomes necessary.
Sometimes, what once used to be the ceiling is now the floor, and uncertainty about the way sets in.
Even down below, humanity still remains ever present.
Being in this place belowground, somewhere that is outside of common consciousness. Completely isolated from the rest of the world,
everything else vanishes except the present moment and admiration.
For a moment, the entire world becomes just you, the abyss and a momentary peaceful eternity. At least thats's how it struck me.
